Welcome to my site! A space for me, a 32 year old working class – father of two, to vent my frustrations and uncertainties of the current state our divergent political phenomena is in. I am no academic, I even had to Google the spelling ‘academic’ before typing it. Do I care? Not anymore. I may not have the vocabulary to express my true complex views and feelings, but my good friend the internet is here to help.
The internet isn’t always so helpful. It is also a tool that will confuse; an implement used by certain theorists to spread their unbalanced, uneducated conspiracies on global events, and an apparatus used by giant media corporations and governments to spread their biased propaganda. The former group, the group I shall call Orange – the one I accepted to be true, of whom contradicted the latter group, who I shall call Red (the elites), excused me of doing my own, sensible research so I could carry on playing the World of Warcraft, thinking I had all the answers. I was so wrong.
I must highlight, Orange is not necessarily incorrect because they are conspiracy theories, but for me to fully accept them, I want solid evidence. The same can be said about Red. The information can sometimes be correct, but the information provided is often used for a more sinister, hidden agenda that often goes against my morals.
However, the internet can also be helpful and used as a tool to uncover the answers based on sensible points-of-view and accurate information. There are very clever people out there who have studied not only the current state of affairs with a pragmatic mind but the centuries of history that has led us to it. These people have written books on momentous events in history, provided perspectives from multiple angles and explain in detail why our complex history is so important to be able to understand today’s events. This group may rile some people but not because they are lies or wrong, but because it goes against (alien) a lot on what they believe to be true. This group I shall call Green.
Now, this is where it can get a little more complicated. There are, concerning my current geopolitical interests, other shades of Green. You have the shade biased towards Western historicism (EU/NATO/Capitalism), of whom I shall call Dark Green, ones who are biased towards the Eastern historicism (Soviet/Russia/Marxism), of whom I shall call Light Green, and the shade who sits in the middle, the one I will try my hardest to become, to accept both sides of the conflict and create a dialogue between them, Illumi-Green.
And so I start my journey, with my good friend the Multi-Green internet, a few giant Multi-Green books I recently purchased, and the determination to figure out what on Earth is going on. I am sure Orange and Red will be close by, I have to acknowledge them otherwise I will become one of them. I will do my best not to mix the colours together otherwise I’d be in real trouble; considering I’m bloody colour blind.
I hope you will come with me on this journey, whatever colour you are (possibly a different colour of which I yet to meet) join in with the discussions, and possibly help me understand one of the biggest questions on my mind; who are really the good guys..?
